The Girls XC team finished 13th out of 33 teams at the very competitive Peoria Invitational. This meet was a varsity only contest. With two of our top veteran runners nursing injuries, our first-year runners stepped up in a big way. Emily Anand, a junior, but in her first year with our program ran an incredible race finishing in 23rd place with a time of 18:32. This was a 22 second PR. Cecily Smith placed 33rd with a new PR of 19:06. Kennedy Ashby and Finley Smith, our 3rd and 4th runners, both ran PRs of 20:11 and 20:48, respectively. Chloe Bundren was 5th for our team in 21:22. Emma Frazier, our 6th runner, ran a season best time of 22:08. There were 247 runners in the race. Next weekend our entire team will run at the Runnin' Red Invite in Metamora.
