The Girls XC Team capped off a successful season, qualifying for the state meet after a two-year hiatus. Our young team placed 20th today and gained invaluable experience for the future. Emily Anand once again led our team, running a PR time of 18:12, placing 45th. Cecily Smith, our 2nd runner, also ran a PR (18:51). Taylor Mills. still battling her injury, ran a solid third for our team. Kennedy Ashby accomplished her season goal of cracking the 20-minute mark, running 19:59 (and I think this means she has to do track now 😉). Chloe Bundren finished off her XC career with a season best time of 20:07. Freshman Finley Smith was just a few seconds off her season best time. Morgan Waisath showed a lot of heart finishing the race while not being 100%. We appreciate the leadership from our seniors this year. They contributed heavily to a very positive culture. And they certainly helped keep it light today at the startling line with their music selections.
