Girls Cross Country 1st at Springfield he 2A #4 Mahomet-Seymour Girls Cross Country team is off to a great start this season placing second at our first two invitationals to a top-rated 1A Shelbyville team. Today, our team did a tremendous job working together and using the power of the pack to best #7 Rochester and take team honors at the Lee Halberg Lanphier Invitational. This is the most challenging course the girls will run all season, and they competed well. All seven varsity team members medaled in the race. Emily Anand set the tone for the team early in the race and earned a 3rd place finish. Our remaining six runners were as follows: 8. Paige Jansen 9 Cecily Smith 11. Anniston Huff 13.
