Boys Cross Country 1st at Metamora Runnin' Red Invitational On Saturday morning, the Mahomet-Seymour High School Boys XC Team competed at Black Partridge Park in Metamora in the Gene Jones Runnin' Red Invitational. The team has been attending this meet since 2008. There was a boys fresh/soph race and a boys varsity race. We put all our runners in the boys varsity race. 28 teams competed in the varsity race, with 25 being complete teams (5 or more runners). There were 301 individual finishers. The team placed 1st with 99 points. The last time we won the meet was in 2017. Mahomet-Seymour placed 1st with 99 points, Peoria (Notre Dame) placed 2nd with 101 points, and Normal (University) placed 3rd with 129 points.
