Girls XC 2nd at Metamora, set 13 personal bests The MSHS Girls Cross Country team had their best race of the season narrowingly missing the team title by one point in the 20-team Runnin Red Invitational at Metamora. Medalists for the race were Emily Anand (4th), Paige Jansen (14th) and Cecily Smith (20th). There were 216 runners. Our top seven today were Anand, Jansen, C. Smith, Ava Cvengros, Anniston Huff, Finley Smith, and Emma Dewitt. This team's depth continues to be our biggest strength. While this is a slightly short course, we still consider it for PRs (as Detweiller often runs faster). We were incredibly impressed with the effort today. There were 13 PRs out of 21 runners. We are hosting the Apollo Conference Championships. Both the boys and girls teams are rated in the top 10 in State. Please consider coming out to support our athletes.
